Job summary

Ruth's Chris Steak House in Cary, NC is seeking a pantry cook to portion, prepare and assemble all cold food items, salads, cold appetizers and desserts. You will ensure that all food products meet Ruth's Chris standards and timing.

You will rotate and restock pantry items, maintain sanitation, follow safety guidelines, and coordinate with food runners to ensure timely service. The role requires the ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience as a pantry or salad cook in a fine dining setting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Must work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up pantry station with cold items, garnishes, and supplies.
• Prepare vegetables for salads and plate salads and desserts.
• Assist kitchen staff and ensure timely service with correct timing.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the shift.
• Close station and coordinate with Chef on duty.
