Job summary

Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Baltimore is seeking a pantry cook to portion, prepare and assemble salads, cold appetizers and desserts, ensuring every item meets recipe specs and the restaurant’s high quality standards.

You will set up the pantry station, assist other kitchen staff, follow recipe cards, monitor par levels, and maintain strict sanitation. Availability nights, weekends and holidays is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months pantry or salad cook experience in fine dining.
• Experience with fresh products preferred.
• Minimum 100 covers per shift.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Availability nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up pantry station with cold items, prep equipment, and supplies.
• Assist kitchen staff in food preparation and sidework.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes and standards.
• Check par levels before shift and report discrepancies.
• Coordinate with food runners to ensure timely service.
• Maintain sanitation and food safety in work area.
