You will guide volunteers, stock shelves, assist with client intake, and provide friendly service to clients and donors. This limited-duration, part-time role (32 hours per week) involves lifting up to 50 pounds, occasional driving of pantry vehicles, and strict adherence to food safety rules.

Qualifikationen

• Bilingual oral proficiency required for a 5% differential when applicable.
• Experience with warehouse operations and loading/unloading is preferred.
• Ability to work with volunteers and diverse client groups.

Aufgaben

• Supports all aspects of on-site and mobile pantry operations, including stocking shelves, inventory checks, and guiding volunteers.
• Provides excellent customer service to clients, volunteers, and donors.
• Under Pantry Manager direction, assists with volunteer training and prioritizing tasks.
• Assists with client intakes, answering phones and reception.
• Handles client information confidentially and refers clients to community resources as needed.
• Serves as on-site lead during pantry distributions when needed.
• Manages warehouse inventory and FIFO; communicates needs to Pantry Manager.
• Restocks shelves during distributions and assists with unloading deliveries.
• Maintains a clean, organized warehouse and lobby; adheres to safety and sanitation rules.
• Drives pantry vehicles for pickups and mobile distributions; uses pallet jacks and forklifts as needed.
