Job summary

Marion Polk Food Share is seeking a Pantry Coordinator I for Iskam MǝkʰMǝk-Haws to support on-site and mobile pantry operations, manage inventory, and guide volunteers. The role requires flexibility with schedules and a collaborative approach to serving Grand Ronde and surrounding communities.

The position involves driving pantry vehicles, ensuring food safety compliance, and coordinating distributions with the Pantry Manager. Bilingual proficiency may apply for the differential.

Responsibilities

• Supports on-site and mobile pantry operations, stocking shelves and guiding volunteers.
• Provides excellent customer service to clients, volunteers and donors.
• Under Pantry Manager, supports volunteers and training tasks.
• Assists with client intakes, answering phones and reception.
• Handles client information confidentially and ethically.
• Makes client referrals to other community resources as needed.
• Serves as on-site lead during pantry distributions when needed.
• Manages warehouse inventory and uses FIFO; communicates needs to Pantry Manager.
• Restocks shelves during pantry distributions.
• Assists with unloading deliveries and sorts food.
• Maintains clean warehouse and lobby; cleans totes and bins.
• Drives pantry vehicles for pickups and distributions.
• Uses pallet jacks and forklifts safely.
• Follows USDA/ODHS and Oregon Food Bank food safety rules.
• Regularly collects donations from retailers; 2-hour round trips.
• Supports mobile pantry operations weekly; drives box truck and sets up distributions.
