Job summary

Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens, Inc. is seeking a part-time Food Resource Associate to help operate the pantry network and support Health & Wellness events across Brooklyn and Queens. You will assist with deliveries, stocking, and setup for community programs, while maintaining clean pantries and supporting donations.

The role requires physical eligibility, a valid driver's license, and flexibility for evenings or weekends. Travel across the five boroughs may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; may be waived for 2 years relevant experience.
• Valid driver's license, driving history, 3 years of current driving experience with no more than one moving violation in 24 months.
• Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Able to travel throughout the five boroughs as needed.
• Ability to work flexible hours (evenings/weekends) as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Supports deliveries of food resources to a network of pantries– checking invoices, stocking and organizing.
• Maintains clean and orderly food pantries.
• Breakdown of boxes and disposal of cardboard per recycling regulations.
• Assists with setup and breakdown of chairs and tables for events and workshops.
• Collects donations from organizations and participates in annual Toy Drive activities.
• Adheres to funding source standards and agency policies; seeks guidance as needed.
• Follows Confidentiality, HIPAA, and Corporate Compliance requirements.
• Performs other duties as directed by supervisors.
