Job summary

The Olympic Club in San Francisco is seeking a Pantry Cook to join our City Clubhouse team. This full-time position offers shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holidays, with a wage of $30.92 per hour. Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of cold entrees, salads, and appetizers under guidance of Executive Chef.
• Prepare foods for cooks such as washing, peeling, cutting, and chopping.
• Assist in buffet and catering setup, replenishing and tear-down.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards at all times in work areas.
• Check food temperatures prior to serving and during service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pantry Cook

Salary Range: $30.92 To $30.92 Hourly

The Olympic Club is searching for an experienced Pantry Cookfor our City Clubhouse.

Our Pantry Cooks are members of Local 2. Scheduling is by position seniority with shifts assigned based on operational needs. Candidates must have availability to work flexible schedules including day times, evenings, weekends and holidays.

The Olympic Club offers Pantry Cooks free meals during work shifts, free golf on Mondays at our Lakeside campus and a variety of sport and social events for employees throughout the year. Benefits include: vacation, PTO, sick time, holidays, and uniforms. Based on the number of shifts worked, full coverage healthcare is available to employees and their dependents.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Under general guidance of the Executive Chef, assists in the preparation of cold entrees, salads, appetizers, etc.
• Prepares foods for cooks, such as washing and peeling fruits and vegetables, cutting, chopping and similar duties
• Assists in buffet and catering service set up, replenishing and tear-down
• Maintains sanitation and safety standards at all times in work areas and during food handling, production, and storage
• Checks the food temperatures prior to food being served and during the course of service
• Performs other work as assigned

Requirements:

• Must have a good working knowledge of cold food preparation and have basic knife skills
• Must have excellent safety and sanitation skills, and experience in a fast paced kitchen
• Must have intermediate oral English communication skills and be able to listen and follow directions
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work various shifts including holidays and weekends
