Job description

Join to apply for the Pantry Cook role at Ruth's Chris Steak House.

All BOH positions are expected to report to work as indicated on the work schedule, be in correct uniform, and practice positive personal hygiene and cleanliness habits during all work shifts. Each position will obtain their station assignment at the beginning of the shift and perform all opening and closing duties as needed and directed by the Manager on Duty. Each team member must maintain the highest standards of sanitation and food safety throughout their shift, adhering to all safety guidelines and practices, and immediately report any unsafe conditions, acts, accidents, or injuries to the Chef or Manager on Duty.

The responsibilities include:

  1. Assisting other kitchen personnel in food preparation and sidework as assigned by the Chef.
  2. Prepping all food according to Ruth's Chris Steak House standards and recipes.
  3. Cooking and plating food to meet quality standards and ensure a superior dining experience.
  4. Checking par and stock levels of ingredients and supplies before the shift and communicating discrepancies.
  5. Correctly seasoning, cooking, and serving food products.
  6. Coordinating with the broiler cook to ensure timely food preparation.
  7. Restocking food items, condiments, and supplies as needed throughout the shift.
  8. Following all safety guidelines and reporting unsafe conditions immediately.

Shifts include nights, weekends, and holidays. This position can be full-time or part-time and is suitable for entry-level candidates interested in management and manufacturing within the restaurant industry.
