Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Production Technician for its Panelboard/Switchboard Satellite Operation on 1st shift. The role involves assembling panelboards/switchboards, wiring, testing, and ensuring quality per drawings and instructions. Overtime may be required and the position offers benefits and career growth.

The successful candidate will handle hand and power tools, read electrical drawings, and work within Lean 5S guidelines to support efficient production and safe operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in an assembly related role with use of hand and/or power tools.
• Residence within 50 miles of the work location; only local candidates considered.
• No immigration sponsorship offered for this position.
• Preferred: high school diploma or GED or technical schooling.

Responsibilities

• Assemble panelboards and/or switchboards to customer specifications based on electrical drawings and work instructions.
• Inspect and test finished products to ensure quality and conformance to specs and codes.
• Use wire strippers and pliers to perform electrical wiring assembly.
• Maintain progress and communicate issues or shortages; prepare products for shipment.
• Support Lean initiatives and maintain 5S in the work area.
• Cross-train across functions to meet production needs.
