Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies is seeking a skilled Paint Technician for Garden Grove, CA. The role requires mixing and applying paint to various surfaces, with emphasis on accuracy and coverage, in a 2nd shift schedule (3:30pm-12am).

Applicants should have 1+ year of aircraft painting experience, a GED or high school diploma, and the ability to work in a manufacturing setting while following OSHA PPE guidelines and ITAR requirements. DOE compensation applies.

Responsibilities

• Mix and measure paint per specifications and work order.
• Confirm paint and part match before painting in booth.
• Post paint inspection for appearance and coverage.
• Maintain paint booth and filters, complete paperwork.
• Follow safety regulations and wear PPE as required by OSHA.
• Maintain all paint equipment and perform routine checks.

• Able to paint effectively on different surfaces and metals
• Applies some advanced skills that allow employee to adapt and meet some complex or non-routine situations
• Observe safety regulations and wear protective masks and clothing during spray painting operations
• Complete the paint daily checklist
• Properly utilizes all PPE required under OSHA Guidelines
• Maintains all paint equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Skills & Abilities

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required

Experience: 1 plus years of experience in Aircraft Painting

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The majority of work is performed in a manufacturing setting.

Work is performed in shop conditions and can be more than 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

This position requires access to knowledge and technical data regulated by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Valence Surface Technologies is required to verify that applicants meet ITAR requirements prior to employment for this role.
