Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies, LLC is seeking an Aircraft Painter with at least 1 year of experience in painting aircraft parts. The role requires mixing and applying coatings, inspecting finished surfaces, and maintaining clean, safe work conditions in the paint booth.

The ideal candidate will follow specifications, wear all PPE, and perform daily checklists while supporting other shop duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or GED preferred.
• Experience: 1+ years of experience in Aircraft Painting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mix and measure paint per specifications.
• Review work orders and confirm mixed paint and part match prior to painting in booth.
• Paint parts according to specification and thickness.
• Post paint inspection of parts for appearance and coverage.
• Maintain paint booth filters and all PPE.
• Keep daily paint checklist and paperwork.
• Maintain all paint equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Must be able to mix and measure paint per specifications.
• Review work order and confirm mixed paint and part match, prior to painting in booth
• Clean parts as per specification Paint part according to specification and thickness
• Keep paint booth filters changed, booth FOD free and complete paperwork.
• Post paint inspection of parts for appearance and proper coverage.
• Able to paint effectively on different surfaces and metals
• Applies some advanced skills that allow employee to adapt and meet some complex or non-routine situations
• Observe safety regulations and wear protective masks and clothing during spray painting operations.
• Complete the paint daily checklist.
• Properly utilizes all PPE required under OSHA Guidelines.
• Maintains all paint equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
