Job summary

INH Properties is seeking a full-time, mid-level Painter to contribute to our multi-family apartment communities in Minnesota. You will work on-site at our properties, collaborating with the community manager to plan painting projects and maintain property standards.

This role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, painting experience, and the ability to work both independently and with a team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Determine painting requirements with the community manager.
• Operate airless spray equipment, scaffolding, brushes and rollers.
• Mask surfaces and protect floors and furniture before painting.
• Prepare surfaces by washing, filling holes, and sanding.
• Apply primers and sealers for proper paint adhesion.
• Mix and match paints, stains, and finishes per specs.
• Apply finishes with brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
• Maintain inventory of painting supplies.
• Remove and reinstall fixtures as needed.

What We’re Looking For

INH Properties is seeking a full-time, mid-level experienced Painter that will take pride in making our apartment community a great place to live!

Job Responsibilities: (Including but not limited to)

When joining our team, you will play an important role by owning the following tasks:

• Communicating with the community manager to determine painting requirements
• Operate equipment such as airless spray equipment, scaffolding, paint brushes/rollers etc.
• Covering trim, floors, furniture and other surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths and other protective coverings to keep them free of paint
• Preparing surfaces to be painted by washing them, filling holes and cracks with putty and sanding them until they’re smooth
• Applying primer and other sealers to paint surfaces to ensure that paint sticks to them
• Mixing and matching paint, stain and other finishes to job specifications
• Applying paint, stain and other finishes to paint surfaces using paintbrushes, rollers or sprayers
• Maintaining an inventory of supplies like paint brushes, rollers and tarps
• Removing and reinstalling fixtures (e.g., doorknobs, electric switch covers) as necessary

Requirements

Who We Are Looking For (Ideal Candidate):

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• A valid Driver's License
• Previous experience with painting
• Time Management skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Dry walling including painting and carpentry
• Working knowledge of light plumbing and electrical including outlets, switches and light fixtures

Preferred But Not Required

• Experience in multi-family housing

• This position will cover our properties in St. Cloud, MN.
