Job summary

INH Properties is seeking a full-time, mid-level Maintenance Technician to support our Minnesota communities, including Owatonna and Faribault. You will perform maintenance, carpentry, painting, and respond to work orders to keep our apartment communities well maintained and safe.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and skills in drywall, plumbing, electrical, and teamwork. HVAC, boiler or CPO certifications are a plus, as is multitasking and customer-friendly

Qualifications

• Experience with drywall, painting, and carpentry.
• Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems (outlets, switches, fixtures).

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and minor carpentry across communities.
• Handle grounds upkeep and snow removal.
• Paint interiors and perform janitorial tasks to keep property clean.
• Respond to work orders promptly and communicate with residents.
• Ensure apartments are ready for move-ins and maintain property standards.
• Support team to maintain common areas.

What We’re Looking For:

INH Properties is seeking a full-time, mid-level experienced Maintenance Technician that will take pride in making our apartment community a great place to live!

Job Responsibilities: (Including but not limited to)

When joining our team, you will play an important role by owning the following tasks:

• Miscellaneous Maintenance & Carpentry
• Grounds upkeep and snow removal
• Interior painting
• Janitorial to keep our community looking impeccable
• Responding to work orders in a timely manner
• Communicating professionally with residents when fulfilling maintenance requests
• Work as a team to ensure apartments are ready for all move-ins and maintain our communities to the highest standard
• All other duties required to create a great living environment for our residents
• Cleaning/Maintaining common areas

Requirements

Who We Are Looking For (Ideal Candidate):

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• A valid Driver's License
• Time Management skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Dry walling including painting and carpentry
• Working knowledge of plumbing
• Working knowledge of electrical including outlets, switches and light fixtures

Preferred but not required:

• Experience in multi-family housing
• Boilers knowledge is strongly preferred
• Boilers License or a willingness to get one
• HVAC certification strongly preferred
• CPO Certified or willingness to get certified
• Chiller knowledge

Working Conditions:

• This position will cover our properties in the Owatonna & Faribault, MN area.
• Hourly
• Full Time
• On-Call
