Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Maintenance Painter for Resurrection Village in Chicago, IL. This full-time role lives in the Maintenance department with a daytime schedule, earning an hourly salary of $26.11 to $35.32.

Typical duties include applying protective coats of paint, preparing surfaces, matching tint, and keeping equipment and work areas clean and safe per department procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Apply protective and decorative coats of paint, varnish, lacquer and related materials to interior and exterior surfaces of buildings, furniture, equipment and other property.
• Prepare surfaces by washing, scraping, sanding, torching and/or smoothing prior to applying finishing materials.
• Maintain existing paint surfaces by matching/tinting appropriate paint products.
• Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition. Properly stores, cleans and disposes of all supplies and equipment used according to departmental policies and procedures.
