Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Maintenance Plant professional in Avilla, IN, to support the Sacred Heart Village facility during daytime, full-time hours. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and systems, documenting all inspections and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance, installation, and inspection of facility equipment, machinery, and systems to ensure ongoing operational reliability.
• Perform utility and structural repairs, collaborating with internal teams and external trade partners as needed.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of all work performed and equipment inspections, ensuring adherence to policies and warranty requirements.
• Manage material inventory and supply requisitions, while responding promptly to emergency service calls to resolve facility issues.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Drivers License preferred.
• Maintenance Professional preferred.
• Maintenance Professional specializing in Mechanics preferred.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
