Job summary

Saint Kate - The Arts Hotel seeks an experienced maintenance painter to keep the property looking fresh on a daily basis. You will paint, refinish wood surfaces, and perform basic carpentry as part of a small, hands-on team.

You must have painting and wood finishing experience, OSHA 10 and scaffold training, and be able to work independently while delivering high-quality finishes for guest areas and back‑of‑house spaces.，该职位强调专业形象和安全作业。

Responsibilities

Do you love working with your hands and creating welcoming environments? Lend color to our painting team, and help keep our hotel looking fresh. With little down time on this job, you will be kept on your feet by grabbing your painting tools and adding a fresh coat of paint throughout the property, keeping it looking new and shiny.

POSITION PURPOSE:

Lend color to our painting team, and help keep our hotel looking fresh. With little down time on this job, you will be kept on your feet by grabbing your painting tools and adding a fresh coat of paint throughout the property, keeping it looking new and shiny.

Monday - Friday (1st Shift)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform daily shift reports
• Document all calls in master computer log
• Follow all OSHA standards
• Maintain interior and exterior finishes
• Respond to guest calls and associate requests.
• Assist in performing PM on all FF&E
• Assist in cost control: Heat, Power, Light, Sewer and Water
• Repair, clean, touchup and or maintain but not limited to the following:
  • All wall coverings and finishes
  • Ceiling finishes and textures
  • Furniture, cabinetry, doors and woodwork
  • Hvac air diffusers and grills
• Ensure appropriate standards of conduct, hygiene, uniforms, and appearance are maintained
• Must be able to lift and transport 50# loads
• Must be able to work with ladders & scaffolding
• Represent the hotel with professionalism and decorum
• Make recommendations to his/her supervisor regarding improved methods and procedures so as to have a positive impact on guest/associate satisfaction.
• Attend all required Engineering Department and other meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as MSDS, safety awareness information, maintenance instructions and procedural manuals.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and associates
• Must be able to work as an independent painter
• Must be able to analyze problems, identify course of action and implement solutions.
• Represent the company in a courteous and well-groomed manner.
• Must be punched in, in uniform and ready for work as scheduled.
• Must be able to use and understand hand and power tools.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift, grasp, twist and stretch.
• Must be flexible with a positive attitude.
