Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment safely.
• Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred, but not required.
• Welding experience is helpful, but not required.
• Must be detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Project management skills are a plus.
• Requires ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Production Manager to meet production goals.
• Coordinate daily activities of production departments, delegating job responsibilities to appropriate shift personnel.
• Interpret specifications, blueprints and job orders to workers.
• Plan and organize work for assigned workers to meet the schedule.
• Maintain production workflow between workers and departments.
• Monitor all production for quality and make adjustments as necessary.
• Monitor all changes in the production schedule and modify workflow accordingly.
• Troubleshoot and solve production problems as they occur.
• Motivate team members to complete assignments in a timely, accurate manner.
• Train new production employees to bring them up to speed in a timely manner.
• Check all production equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
• Promote safety to all employees.
• Use raw materials to reduce waste.
• Communicate with all levels about schedules and changes.
• Inspect products/equipment for defects/malfunctions.
