Job summary

Global Power Components in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Paint Prep team member for our onsite 5-day workweek. Temporary-to-hire, first and second shifts available with overtime eligibility.

You will support Industrial Painters by preparing materials, surfaces, and equipment for painting, and assist in maintaining a clean, safe paint area. The role emphasizes reliability, willingness to learn, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while following all safety procedures

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or related fields preferred but not required.
• Experience with sanding, masking, grinding, or paint prep is a plus.
• Ability to safely operate basic hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Willingness to learn industrial paint preparation processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist Industrial Painters by gathering and preparing materials, tools, equipment, paint supplies, and other items.
• Prepare surfaces for painting through cleaning, sanding, masking, and other prep methods.
• Mask and protect areas of components that should not be painted.
• Move materials, parts, tools, and supplies throughout the paint department as needed.
• Set up work areas and ensure painters have necessary materials and equipment.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining paint equipment, tools, and work areas.
• Keep the paint department clean, organized, and stocked.
• Follow work instructions and directions from painters, leads, and supervisors.
• Support production needs and changing priorities during the shift.
• Follow all safety procedures and required PPE guidelines.
• Perform other paint department and production duties as assigned.
