Job summary

Global Power Components is seeking a Powder Coat Supervisor to lead a hands-on powder coating team in Milwaukee. You will work closely with the Production Manager to ensure quality, safety, and throughput on the line, while actively applying technical coating knowledge and leadership to improve daily performance.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of manufacturing experience with powder coating, at least 2 years in supervision, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of manufacturing experience, with hands-on powder coating experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in an effective, safe manner.
• Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred, but not required.
• Welding experience helpful, but not required.
• Must be detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Project management skills a plus.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs; physical ability to perform required tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate powder coat team to meet daily production goals.
• Oversee setup, operation and quality checks of powder coat process.
• Train new powder coat employees and communicate schedules and changes.
• Ensure safety compliance and maintain clean, organized work area.
• Troubleshoot production issues and minimize waste.
• Interpret blueprints and job orders for workers.
• Maintain workflow and interdepartmental coordination.
