Job summary

The Pittsburgh Paints Company is seeking a Store Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer experiences in a fast-paced retail environment. This role supports both retail and contractor customers with product recommendations, color matching, and smooth order processing.

Reporting to the Store Manager, you will help drive sales while maintaining a clean, organized store. The starting pay is $16/hour, with typical store hours posted for Monday through Friday, Saturday, and Sunday closures.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid drivers license required, must pass all background items and physical.
• Customer service experience preferred with a team-focused approach.
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
• Ability to use a computer and keyboard for order processing and customer support.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally and 40-60 pounds routinely.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by understanding customer needs and recommending the right products and solutions.
• Assist retail and contractor customers with product selection, color matching, and order processing.
• Mix, tint, and match paint products according to customer specifications.
• Build knowledge of Pittsburgh Paints Company brands, products, and store processes.
• Process customer orders and payments through phone, in-person, online, and email channels.
• Support sales initiatives and contribute to achieving store sales goals.
• Load, drive, and deliver customer orders via company vehicle.
• Resolve customer concerns and escalate issues when needed.
• Safely handle, load, unload, and organize products for stocking and order fulfillment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
• Support daily store operations and team priorities as needed.
