Job summary

The Pittsburgh Paints Company is seeking a Store Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer experiences in a fast-paced paint retailer. You will assist retail and contractor customers with product recommendations, color matching, order support, and payments, while upholding a clean and organized store.

Reporting to the Store Manager, this role requires dependable, friendly service, flexible hours, and the ability to lift up to 80 pounds and operate basic equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license required, must pass all background items and physical.
• Customer service experience preferred with a team-focused approach.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with customers in a professional manner.
• Ability to use a computer and keyboard for order processing and customer support.
• Ability to work scheduled hours as needed, including flexibility based on business needs.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally and 40–60 pounds routinely, including standing, lifting, carrying, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
• Ability to operate a hand truck and/or material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by understanding customer needs and recommending the right products and solutions.
• Assist retail and contractor customers with product selection, color matching, and order processing.
• Mix, tint, and match paint products according to customer specifications.
• Build knowledge of Pittsburgh Paints Company brands, products, and store processes.
• Process customer orders and payments through phone, in-person, online, and email channels.
• Support sales initiatives and contribute to achieving store sales goals.
• Load, drive, and deliver customer orders via company vehicle.
• Resolve customer concerns and escalation issues when needed.
• Safely handle, load, unload, and organize products for stocking and order fulfillment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
• Support daily store operations and team priorities as needed.
