Job summary

Rivian in Normal, IL is seeking a Group Leader to supervise and motivate the paint team, driving best practices to hit production milestones. This on-site role reports to the Paint Operations Manager and requires leadership in a high-volume manufacturing setting.

The position emphasizes training, process improvement, and collaboration with production managers to schedule and allocate resources for peak performance.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing environment with leadership experience.
• 3+ years experience with one of the following paint processes; Pretreatment/E-coat, Sealer, Prime, Basecoat, Clearcoat, Masking, Inspection or Repair.
• Engineering or Technical bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with MRP software such as SAP preferred.
• Kaizen / continuous improvement process experience.
• Demonstrated project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of technicians, Team Leaders, and Team Members.
• Train, develop, teach, and evaluate employees.
• Maintain high-quality relationship with production managers regarding schedules and needed support.
• Fill in as needed and perform all department processes.
• Support pilot programs and change activities.
