Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Group Leader for the Paint Operations team in Normal, Illinois. This on-site role reports to the Paint Operations Manager and leads technicians and team members to achieve production milestones while driving best practices and operational excellence.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in high-volume manufacturing with leadership, and familiarity with paint processes. The role requires the ability to stand long hours and lift up to 25 pounds; a technical bachelor’s degree is

Qualifications

3–5 years of leadership in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
3+ years experience with paint processes (Pretreatment/E-coat, Sealer, Prime, Basecoat, Clearcoat, Masking, Inspection or Repair).
Engineering or Technical bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience with MRP software such as SAP.

Responsibilities

Direct supervision of technicians, Team Leaders, and Team Members.
Train, develop, teach, and evaluate employees.
Coordinate with production managers on schedules and support.
Perform and teach department processes; fill in as needed.
Support pilot programs and change activities; monitor budgets.
Plan paint shop agenda and drive process improvements with the Paint Shop Manager.
