Dover Food Retail is seeking a Production Supervisor for 1st shift in South Chesterfield, VA. You will lead team leads and hourly production staff to meet safety, quality, and production targets on time.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in a leadership role and 5+ years in manufacturing, with 5S/Lean/Six Sigma experience. Proficiency in MS Office and strong communication are essential; willingness to work extended hours as needed.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a leadership position (team lead, supervisor, etc.).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Two years’ experience with 5S, Lean/Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

Mansioni

• Provide leadership to team leaders and hourly production team members; ensure a safe work environment, define expectations, provide resources, coach/teach/train associates, ensure accountability, and provide feedback.
• Develop, implement, and audit daily standard work.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement; conduct root cause analysis and develop/implement corrective action plans.
• Maintain production schedule, meeting both quality and productivity requirements.
• Maintain good inventory control procedures for raw material as needed.
• Partner with supply chain, quality, shipping, and other departments to meet production targets safely and on time.
• Ensure timely response to operational issues impacting customer expectations and cycle time.
• Enforce safety rules, practices and procedures; engage HR/Safety when required.
• Initiate requisitions for open positions; interview and select best candidates.
• Document associate skills and knowledge to create a skills matrix.
• Capture/analyze data regarding productivity and understand causes of variances.
• Direct resources to procure shipment items as production needs dictate.
