Job summary

Dover Food Retail is hiring a Production Supervisor for the Paint 1st Shift in South Chesterfield, VA. You will lead team leads and hourly workers, ensure safe operations, and drive on-time production while maintaining quality.

The role focuses on standard work, process improvements, and cross-functional coordination to meet customer needs. We expect a strong manufacturing background, leadership experience, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a leadership position.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to team leads and front-line hourly production staff; ensure a safe work environment, set expectations, provide resources, coach and train associates.
• Develop, implement, and audit daily standard work.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain production schedule, meeting quality and productivity targets.
• Maintain inventory control procedures for all raw materials required by the department.
• Collaborate with supply chain, quality, shipping, and other departments to meet targets safely and on time.
• Respond promptly to operational issues affecting customer expectations and cycle time.
• Enforce company policies and safety procedures; involve HR/Safety when needed.
• Document associate skills and maintain a skills matrix; track training accomplishments.
• Capture and analyze productivity data; adjust resource allocation as needed.
• Ensure accurate timekeeping in ADP for direct reports.
