Job summary

STS Technical Services is hiring experienced Manufacturing Painters for 1st and 2nd shifts in Milwaukee, WI. You will prepare surfaces, apply heavy-duty coatings, and paint large steel components to specifications.

The role requires reading specifications and working closely with production and quality teams to meet schedules. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of industrial painting experience, familiarity with epoxies or polyurethanes, and the ability to operate spray equipment safely

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of industrial or commercial painting experience.
• Experience with epoxies, polyurethanes, or heavy-duty coatings preferred.
• Experience painting large steel products is preferred.
• Ability to read measurements and customer specs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, masking, sanding, grinding, or blasting.
• Apply industrial coatings using spray equipment.
• Paint large tanks, enclosures, frames, and fabricated products according to specs.
• Mix and apply two-part paint systems with correct thickness and finish.
• Inspect work for quality and compliance with project requirements.
• Perform touch-ups and corrective work as needed.
• Troubleshoot paint application issues and suggest improvements.
• Maintain painting equipment and workspace in a safe, organized condition.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet schedules.
