Job summary

Hunter Engineering Company in Durant, MS is seeking a Paint Line Operator for the 1st shift (7am-3:30pm, Mon-Fri). You will receive, store, and distribute materials within the plant floor to support the paint line flow and load/unload materials from the conveyor system.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and mechanical experience; reading and interpreting safety rules and procedures is essential. Overtime and family-friendly benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required, and mechanical work experience is preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Observes and follow all safety rules.
• Must be willing and able to work overtime as an extension to a normal workday or on weekends, as scheduled.
• Conveys materials using carts, pallet jacks, or forklifts (if licensed) from the paint area to designated areas.
• Will manually load and unload materials from the paint line conveyor system, however never lifting more than 50 pounds without a team lift or the use of lifting devices.
• Sorts and places materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, color, or product code after the painting process.
• Maintains work area to sustain a clean and orderly environment.
