Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals LLC in New York seeks a Pain Territory Business Manager to establish and nurture relationships with healthcare professionals to promote JOURNAVX, a novel NaV1.8 inhibitor, for acute pain. You will report to a Regional Field Leader and work with Pain Territory Account Managers to drive adoption within hospital networks.

The role demands 5+ years in biotech sales, product launch experience, and strong payer engagement, formulary integration, and care coordination skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in biotech sales with product launch experience preferred.
• Experience engaging with diverse physicians.
• Experience with retail pharmacies and managed care pull through.
• Experience pulling inpatient formulary implementations, protocols and order sets.
• Understanding patient treatment geography, care coordination and referral patterns.
• Proficient with Veeva CRM and other IT tools.
• Experience in a highly matrixed environment.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Establish professional relationships with assigned physicians to raise awareness and drive adoption of JOURNAVX.
• Develop expertise on product attributes and patient unmet needs to educate HCPs.
• Map stakeholders, territory dynamics and payer drivers to support access and volume growth.
• Implement strategic territory business plans and align with PTAM-led account engagement in hospitals.
• Drive sales, meet forecasts and manage budgets; collaborate with field teams and HQ.
• Model ethical conduct and compliance in all external engagements.
