Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Warren, MI is seeking an Entry Level Phlebotomist with paid training to support plasma center operations. You will screen donors, perform phlebotomy, and handle donor records while focusing on safety and exceptional donor service.

The role requires standing for long periods, evening/weekend shifts, and adherence to glove protocols due to bloodborne exposure. Training is provided, and the position is part-time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
• Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
• 90% of work tasks require prolonged glove wear due to exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
• 1+ years minimum experience in a customer or patient facing role is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, greet donors, and focus on donors while ensuring safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors and record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
• Use the Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify operational improvement opportunities and initiate changes to center processes.
• Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
