Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. (CEI) offers a Project / Construction Management Internship for Summer 2027 across multiple locations, including Ohio. The 10–12 week program exposes students to CEI's core markets: Commercial, Data Center, and Energy & Renewables, with hands-on project participation and mentorship.

Interns may assist in bidding, budgeting, scheduling, submittals, change orders, and closeout activities while learning from project managers and field teams in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; current student in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or similar preferred.
• Licensure/Certifications: None required.
• Experience: 0 years of experience required.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; this position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Estimate Phase: Creating a bid strategy, getting quotations, and writing proposal letters.
• Pre-Construction: Negotiating contract terms, creating a budget and schedule; coordinating with production to address efficiency, logistics, and materials; organizing documents and drawings, selecting subcontractors, and holding a job start meeting.
• Construction: Managing materials, submittals, change orders; maintaining activity logs, coordinating with vendors and subcontractors; writing RFIs and notice letters; monitoring cost and safety.
• Closeout: Managing closeout documents, commissioning equipment, and returning excess material.
