Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. (CEI) invites motivated undergraduates and graduates to join the Summer 2027 Project/Construction Management Internship.

The program spans 10–12 weeks and exposes students to CEI’s core markets: Commercial, Data Center, and Energy & Renewables. Interns contribute to real-world CEI projects across multiple states, gaining hands-on experience from field, engineering, and design teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current student studying Construction Management, Business, or Engineering (or similar) preferred.
• Licensure/Certifications: None required.
• 0 years of experience required.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Estimate Phase: Creating a bid strategy, getting quotations, and writing proposal letters.
• Pre-Construction: Negotiating contract terms, creating an original budget and schedule. Creating a plan with the production team to address efficiency, logistics, and materials.
• Construction: Managing materials, submittals, and change orders. Maintaining activity logs, managing materials, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Closeout: Managing closeout documents, commissioning equipment, and returning excess material.
