Job summary

P2S|CMTA offers a Summer Internship for Mechanical Engineering students with an interest in Commissioning. Interns join the Commissioning team for hands-on experience in office and field settings, contributing to client projects and learning through visits to project sites and internal training opportunities.

The internship lasts 10–12 weeks, starting in June and ending in August–September, depending on candidate availability.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited university majoring in Mechanical Engineering or related studies.
• FE/EIT is a plus.
• Trained to utilize CAD/BIM standards.
• Familiarity with HVAC system design and Building Commissioning is a plus.
• Involvement in ASHRAE is a plus.
• Must be proficient with Excel and Microsoft Products.
• Must have a valid Driver's License and transportation.
• Ability to work in a highly energetic, multi-engagement environment; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist the engineering team in executing ongoing projects.
• Conduct research and analysis to contribute to project development.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines.
• Assist commissioning agents with onsite functional performance testing for MEP systems.
• Assist in project trend reviews for Mechanical systems.
