Job summary

Capital District Physicians’ Health Plan, Inc. invites motivated students to join its Summer College Internship Program for a 10-week, paid experience. Interns work on meaningful projects, receive mentorship, and attend development workshops across business, IT, analytics, and more.

Interns may reside in technical or non-technical areas; housing is not provided. The program emphasizes professional growth, confidentiality, and collaboration with managers on real-world tasks and presentations.

Qualifications

• Preferred majors include Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or similar.
• High School diploma with proof of continuous college enrollment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Good academic standing and enrolled full-time.
• Must be in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program.

Responsibilities

• Balance and release various check runs.
• Complete root-cause analysis for delays.
• Assist with the Workday check run process.
• Handle payments at the lockbox end to end.
• Enter and research provider refunds.
• Daily Cash Forecast reviews.
• Support mentor on strategic projects.
• Prepare and deliver presentations at internship end.
• Maintain confidentiality and attendance.
