Job summary

Capital District Physicians Health Plan Inc. offers a 10-week paid internship for undergraduates and graduates, running from the first Monday in June to the second Friday in August, up to 40 hours per week. Qualifications

• Desired majors include Mathematics, Economics, Actuarial, & Statistics.
• High School diploma with proof of continuous college enrollment (full-time undergraduate/graduate).
• Must be in good academic standing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Assists in development of rate or Medicare bid filings through analysis of benefit designs and claims experience.
• Assists in preparation of trend analyses.
• Assists in development of preliminary reserve and future claim liabilities for internal/regulatory reporting.
• Supports risk sharing analyses and capitation development.
