Job summary

HITT Contracting invites aspiring construction professionals to join the Futures Program as a Commercial Construction Intern for a 10-week summer experience. You’ll work alongside project teams, gaining exposure to management, procurement, and field operations while building professional networks.

The program emphasizes mentorship, hands-on learning, and development courses designed to prepare you for future roles in project management or superintendency within a leading general contractor.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in construction, engineering, or business.
• Internship or volunteer work is a plus.
• Ability to work ~40 hours per week for 10 weeks.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with project software: Procore, BlueBeam, and Microsoft Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Support project delivery with project managers and superintendents.
• Assist with subcontractors, material tracking, and file management.
• Contribute to document control: submittals, RFIs, change orders.
• Assist in bid package preparation and subcontractor bidding.
• Aid in progress reporting and client communications.
• Assist site reviews: review drawings, verify site conditions, coordinate trades, support safety/quality.
• Engage in networking and professional development events and training.
