Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. invites rising undergraduates and graduates to join the HITT Futures Program as a Commercial Construction Intern for Summer 2027.

This 10-week internship offers hands-on learning, mentorship, and exposure to project delivery alongside project managers and superintendents. The program runs May 24 to August 5, 2027 in California, with opportunities to develop skills in document control, subcontractor coordination, bid packages, and site safety, while networking and expanding

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in construction, engineering, or business.
• Ability to work approximately 40 hours per week for a 10-week program.
• Strong written and verbal communications and customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers and superintendents in delivery.
• Assist with subcontractor coordination, material tracking, and file management.
• Contribute to document control: submittals, RFIs, change orders.
• Aid in bid packages and subcontractor bid evaluation.
• Assist with progress reporting and client communication.
• Support site responsibilities, safety, and quality control.
• Engage in networking and professional development activities.
