HITT Contracting Inc. is offering a Commercial Construction Intern position as part of the HITT Futures Program.

This 10-week internship provides mentorship, hands-on project experience, networking events, and professional development opportunities designed to prepare you for roles in construction supervision or project management. The program runs from May 24 to August 5, 2027, with a competitive base salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be a current student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in construction, engineering, or business.
• Previous internship, volunteer work, or related experience is a plus.
• Able to work about 40 hours per week for the 10-week program.
• Demonstrated ability to learn project software systems (e.g., Procore, MS Office, BlueBeam).

Responsibilities

• Support project delivery alongside project managers and superintendents.
• Assist with subcontractors, supplier coordination, material tracking, and file management.
• Contribute to document control: drafting submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Assist in preparing bid packages and evaluating subcontractor bids.
• Aid progress reporting and client communications.
• Support site activities: review drawings, verify site conditions, coordinate trades, assist safety and quality control.
• Engage in networking, professional development, and company initiatives.
