Qualifications

• Enrollment in an accredited nursing program with anticipated graduation within 12 months.
• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Basic nursing assistant certification prerequisites and BLS may apply.

Responsibilities

• Observe, document patient information and report changes to RN/provider.
• Assist patients and families during admission, orientation, and discharge.
• Provide care per plan of care including vital signs, wound care, ROM, and basic treatments.
• Assist with activities of daily living and 1:1 patient interactions.
• Maintain clean work area, restock supplies, and support learning activities.
• Reinforce patient teaching and document understanding.
• Assist with examinations and procedures and procure equipment during emergencies.
• Support behavioral health care needs and safe patient handling on the unit.
