Job summary

IMEG Corporation in San Francisco, CA seeks a Structural Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. Work with experienced engineers on analysis, design, and implementation of structural systems in buildings and other structures.

Over a 10-12 week program, assist with project design, documentation, coordination, and periodic job-site observations while respecting project budgets. You will gain exposure to commercial and institutional projects, contribute to sustainable design goals including SE2050, and

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a BS degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong interest in design consulting.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Skilled in AutoCAD and/or BIM software.
• Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written forms.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project design for discipline systems in accordance with code and IMEG standards.
• Assist with project research and resource identification.
• Assist with client relations, project design notebooks, and permanent-record documentation.
• Assist with design and schedule coordination across architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, supplier, and other disciplines.
• Assist with documenting design decisions, client meetings, and instructions while monitoring project design progress.
• Assist with reviewing project documents for accuracy and completeness before final check requests.
• Assist with preparing and issuing addendum information.
• Conduct periodic job-site observations and other services required by the contract services agreement.
