Job summary

Merrick & Company is seeking a college or graduate student for a paid Summer 2027 internship in Structural, Civil, or Architectural Engineering at our Greenwood Village, CO, Tulsa, OK, Richmond, VA, or Chattanooga, TN offices.

The internship runs roughly mid‑May through mid‑August 2027 and offers hands‑on experience on real projects, exposure to professional collaboration, and work at an employee‑owned firm. Interns gain skills in design, analysis, and QA procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have graduation date after August 2027 to be eligible.
• Must be pursuing an engineering degree in Structural, Civil, or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Must be currently enrolled and entering junior year or higher of an undergraduate degree, or currently enrolled in grad school.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without Sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Gain technical experience in structural engineering with tasks like finite element analysis, steel/concrete design, and code exposure.
• Collaborate with other disciplines, interface with clients and contractors, meet schedules and budgets, and communicate effectively.
