Job summary

Merrick & Company is seeking a college or graduate student for a paid summer internship in electrical engineering across multiple offices (Greenwood Village, CO; Tulsa, OK; Richmond, VA) for Summer 2027. Interns gain hands-on experience and exposure to training opportunities.

The program emphasizes collaboration, client interaction, and real project work, with experience in industrial and facility power, lighting, grounding, and controls.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing an engineering degree in Electrical Engineering with electrical emphasis from an ABET-accredited university.
• Must be enrolled and entering junior year or higher of undergraduate degree or currently enrolled in grad school.
• Knowledge of facility electrical and lighting design and/or power system design.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Gain technical experience in electrical engineering across power, lighting, grounding, fire detection, and controls.
• Collaborate with other disciplines, interface with clients and contractors, and follow schedules and budgets.

Education

ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering degree

Pursuing Electrical Engineering degree

Undergraduate junior year or higher or graduate student

Graduation date after August 2027
