Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking Summer 2027 interns to design and build electronics hardware for satellite communication systems. Interns work side-by-side with design engineers, contributing to schematics and layouts while learning through hands-on lab work.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited university.
• GPA of 3.5 or higher.
• Strong fundamentals in EE topics covered in coursework.
• Practical experience designing and building electronics hardware for a research project, competition team, extracurricular activity, prior internship, or advanced engineering course.
• Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, bring-up, and debugging.
• Hands-on experience with lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, electronic loads, and signal generators.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and build electronics hardware for satellite communication systems.
• Work side-by-side with design engineers on schematics and layouts; support analysis and hands-on lab work.
• Contribute to the company’s success while learning and gaining experience.
• Present work to peers, mentors, and Cesium executive leadership throughout the summer.
