Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking Summer 2027 interns to design embedded software for satellite communication systems. You will work closely with Cesium engineers on low-level and high-level software, microcontroller programming, and BSPs.

Strong communication skills are required as interns present progress to peers and leadership. Applicants must be enrolled in BS/MS/PhD programs in CS/EE/CE with a GPA of 3.5+, and bring experience in C/C++ and embedded systems.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in BS/MS/PhD program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• GPA of 3.5 or higher.
• Advanced coursework in embedded systems.
• Programming experience in C or C++.
• Familiarity with software configuration management tools and peer review.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design embedded software for satellite communication systems.
• Work with Cesium engineers on low-level and high-level software, BSPs, and user interfaces.
• Present work to peers, mentors, and Cesium leadership throughout the internship.
