Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking Summer 2027 interns to design and build RF electronics hardware and antennas for satellite communication systems. You will work closely with our engineers on product development, schematic design, testing, and manufacturing of space electronics.

Assignments are determined by project availability and your interests, with opportunities to present to leaders during the summer. Interns are expected to have hands-on hardware experience and strong written and verbal

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering or Physics from an accredited university.
GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Advanced RF & microwave engineering coursework.
Upper-level electromagnetics coursework.
Hands-on experience designing/building electronics hardware for a project or course.
Experience with lab instruments: network analyzers, power sensors, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, electronic loads, signal generators.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Design and build RF electronics hardware and antennas for satellite communication systems.
Collaborate with CesiumAstro engineers on product development, schematic design, testing, and manufacturing.
Present work to peers, mentors, and leadership throughout the internship course.
