Job summary

B&S Site Development is offering an Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Intern position in Columbus, Ohio. The 10-week summer program provides hands-on safety experience, mentorship, and leadership development across field operations and safety systems.

Interns rotate through Field Safety, Fleet & Equipment Safety, Excavation/Utility Avoidance, Incident Reporting, and Risk Assessment, with a capstone project and potential for extension.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Safety Management, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Strong academic performance.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards preferred; bilingual English/Spanish helpful.

Responsibilities

• Attend safety meetings and trainings.
• Assist with field safety documentation and follow-up.
• Observe site operations and report hazards.
• Support incident reporting and lessons learned communications.
• Participate in capstone project addressing a real safety challenge.
• Travel between project sites as required.
