B&S Site Development is offering an Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Intern position in Manassas, Virginia. The 10-week summer internship provides hands-on field exposure, mentorship, and leadership development in safety systems and site operations.

Salary is $25/hour, with rotations across Field Safety, Fleet and Equipment Safety, Excavation/Utility Avoidance, Incident Reporting, and Project Planning.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in construction safety or related field.
• Interest in construction safety and field leadership.
• Willingness to travel between project sites as required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Attend daily safety meetings and participate in safety observations.
• Assist in safety documentation and follow‑up activities.
• Learn equipment inspection procedures and fleet safety practices.
• Follow utility locating processes and excavation safety principles.
• Assist in incident reporting and lessons learned communications.
• Participate in project planning and risk assessments.
• Complete a capstone project addressing a real safety challenge.
• Rotate through safety program areas during the internship.
