B&S Site Development invites students to join the Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Internship in Northern Virginia. This 10-week summer program places interns on Manassas project sites under the guidance of the OHS Manager and an assigned mentor, delivering hands-on safety experience across field operations and safety systems.

You will rotate through field safety, fleet/equipment safety, excavation and utility avoidance, incident reporting, and risk assessment while preparing a capstone

Formación

• Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Safety Management, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong academic performance.
• Interest in construction safety and field leadership.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to travel between project sites as required.

Responsabilidades

• Attend and observe daily safety meetings and field safety activities.
• Learn equipment inspection procedures and documentation requirements.
• Follow utility locating processes and excavation safety principles.
• Assist in incident reporting and lessons learned communications.
• Participate in project planning, risk assessment discussions, and Safe Start activities.
• Complete and present a capstone project addressing a real safety challenge.
