B&S Site Development invites you to join its Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Internship Program in Manassas, VA. This 10-week summer internship offers hands-on exposure to excavation safety, utility avoidance, fleet safety, incident reporting, and leadership development within a real construction environment.

You will rotate through safety disciplines, observe field operations, and work with experienced professionals to gain practical knowledge of safety systems and project planning.

Formación

• Current undergraduate or graduate student in safety/engineering or related field.
• Strong academic performance.
• Interest in construction safety and field leadership.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to travel between project sites as required.
• Preferred bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Field Safety: attend morning huddles, review AHAs and daily briefs, observe safety practices.
• Fleet and Equipment Safety: learn inspection procedures and safe movement planning.
• Excavation and Utility Avoidance: follow utility locating and trench safety principles.
• Incident Reporting and Safety Systems: assist in reporting and lessons learned.
• Project Planning and Risk Assessment: observe risk assessments during planning.
• Capstone Project: complete and present a safety improvement project.
