Youth Villages offers paid internship opportunities for bachelor’s and master’s students across residential and community-based programs. Interns design practicum plans with your academic program to earn course credit and gain hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a Master’s degree in a social services discipline (required)
• Degrees considered include: social work, counseling, psychology, criminal justice, or related fields (reviewed)

Responsibilities

• Shadows counselors in home- and community-based family sessions
• Carries a reduced caseload and implements interventions
• Facilitates individual, group, and/or family therapy sessions
• Accesses clinical trainings and attends weekly meetings for professional development

Skills

Active pursuit of Master’s degree

Strong interpersonal skills
