Youth Villages offers paid internship opportunities for Master’s level students in select residential and community-based programs. Internships are designed around practicums and class schedules to allow course credit and valuable field experience. Internships are nationwide during fall and spring, with select sites in Tennessee in the summer.

Spots are limited and rolling offers are extended. This role provides hands-on experience in a leading mental health agency while supporting Youth

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a Master’s degree in a social services discipline (required).

Responsibilities

• Shadows counselors in home- and community-based family sessions.
• Carries a reduced caseload and implements interventions.
• Facilitates individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
• Utilizes evidence-based practices.
• Attends weekly meetings for professional development to enhance clinical skills.
• Accesses clinical trainings.
• Provides transports to various locations as needed.
• Completes accurate and timely documentation in an EMR.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
