Youth Villages offers paid internships for master's students in residential and community-based programs, designed to fit practicum needs and allow course credit. Internships are nationwide during fall and spring, with some positions in Tennessee in summer.

Rolling offers and early applications encouraged. The Master’s Level Intern shadows counselors in home- and community-based sessions, carries a reduced caseload, facilitates therapy, uses evidence‑based practices, attends weekly meetings, and

• Actively pursuing a Master’s degree in a social services discipline (required)
• Degrees that can be considered include social work, drug and alcohol education or counseling, psychology, criminal justice, guidance counseling, or marriage and family therapy (others subject to review)
• The internship is paid and offers clinical experience aligned with practicum needs

Responsabilidades

• Shadows counselors in home- and community-based family sessions
• Carries a reduced caseload and implements interventions
• Facilitates individual, group, and/or family therapy sessions
• Utilizes evidence-based practices
• Attends weekly meetings for professional development
• Accesses clinical trainings
• Provides transports to various locations as needed
• Completes documentation in an electronic medical record system (EMR)
• Performs other duties as assigned
